Definitions

S-level is deduced by comparing the operational critical systems percentage to these values.

C-level is deduced by comparing the share of compartment volume not damaged to these values.

Operational Readiness Level Definitions

Operational Readiness Level has five categories that describe reduced operability of a vessel. It takes into account the floating position and the proportion of undamaged compartment volume and critical systems.

The S-level is ignored if the vessel doesn't contain critical systems.

ORL level is deduced as the minimum from C/F/S levels:
